English Language Arts
The secondary language arts program goals are to develop in students the following areas:
1. The highest degree of informed control over their use of language of which they are capable.
2. Increased understanding of the nature and structure of the English language within a broad perspective of communication.
3. Develop an enriched understanding of literature.
The basic program provides students a balanced English program emphasizing and integrating the five areas of emphasis.
