Introduction to Agriculture

"Intro to Ag" is designed to assist students in exploring Oahu as it relates to our thriving ahupua‘a and backyard. Students will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of human relations, communication, sense of being, and the importance of connection to agriculture. Students will gain leadership skills by developing work ethic, communication, critical thinking, and team building skills. Students will also participate in business skills by providing a mini "Fresh Fridays" CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program to KIS staff.

Farm to Fork

Farm to Fork is designed to teach students how to grow food and prepare delicious recipes using ingredients harvested from our KIS urban micro-farm. This course involves safety skills and tool use in the garden and kitchen.  

The goal of this course is to provide students with the knowledge on how to prepare healthy family meals. Students will gain leadership skills by developing work ethic, communication, critical thinking, and team building skills. Students will also participate in business skills.
