Introduction to Business
This course is designed to empower students with essential knowledge and skills to make informed financial decisions that will positively impact their lives. Following the National Standards for Middle School Personal Finance, students will explore key concepts related to money management, earning, spending, budgeting, saving, investing and understanding the broader economic landscape. The curriculum focuses on developing a strong foundation in financial literacy. They will also “create” and “market” their own mock businesses, as well as what it takes to scale and be successful in business and investing.
Throughout the semester students will engage in hands-on projects, simulations and discussions to reinforce their understanding of personal finance concepts. Through interactive activities and real-life scenarios, students will develop critical thinking skills to assess the financial implications of their choices, setting them up for a successful and financially abundant future.

OBJECTIVE: Effectively utilize the resources of our technological world.
DESCRIPTION: Keyboarding introduces keyboard touch operating skills. Technique, accuracy, and efficiency will be emphasized. The course develops basic skills in keyboarding which may be used for either personal use or as a basis for further study. Included in the course are: producing personal/business letters and envelopes, reports and tables; speed and accuracy drills; and touch keyboarding techniques. Students who have not had previous instruction in keyboarding should enroll in this course.
