Kailua Intermediate School serves grades seven and eight, about 750 students total.

We are located in the town of Kailua, on the island of Oahu, in the state of Hawaii.

The majority of our students come from nine elementary schools in Kailua. After 8th grade most KIS students move on to Kalāheo High School, Kailua High School, or a private school.

KIS is located near Marine Corps Base Hawaiʻi (MCBH), resulting in approximately thirty percent of KIS students being military dependents.
